Tell me about the partnership between ForeWord Magazine and NetGalley.
ForeWord Magazine is the first review organization representing independent publishers to make NetGalley its preferred way to manage galleys. Publishers can use NetGalley to submit their title information and digital galleys to ForeWord.

When will ForeWord start accepting submissions via NetGalley?
Right now! Publishers who have joined NetGalley can start submitting their titles via NetGalley today. Simply “Send a Request for Review,” click Featured Review Organization, and choose ForeWord Magazine from the drop-down menu.  

Why would I want to use NetGalley to submit to ForeWord?
Using NetGalley gives you more visibility into the review process at ForeWord, including confirmation of your submission and up-to-date review status. Plus, with NetGalley you can include marketing and promotional information with your manuscript; for example, jacket art, audio and video files, and author tour calendars.You can also expand your book’s reach by inviting other reviewers as well as librarians, booksellers, bloggers and other media to view your title on NetGalley. If you change or add anything, it will be updated for all users immediately.

Is there a cost involved?
There is a cost of $400 per title to use NetGalley, with discounts applied depending on the number of titles you upload. There is no limit to the number of contacts you can invite into the system or invite to view your titles. The costs are a fraction of the cost of producing, packaging, and mailing your galley and marketing materials—plus you’re saving paper and packaging. There is no cost for individual professional readers to use the service (that means media, journalists, reviewers, booksellers, librarians, educators, bloggers, all use NetGalley for free).

What if I don’t join NetGalley? Can I still send a physical galley to ForeWord for review?
Of course. However, you will not receive status updates or confirmation of your submission, unless your book is selected for review.

What else can I do with NetGalley?
In addition to submitting your titles to ForeWord, you can use NetGalley to create lists and securely distribute galleys (and accompanying materials) to other reviewers, journalists, producers, bloggers, librarians, booksellers, educators, etc. You can allow readers to download a protected PDF, read online, and/or request a hard copy galley. You can list your title in our Public Catalog of new and forthcoming titles and let new sources request your titles to build your lists. NetGalley helps you better manage the costs of producing and sending galleys, catalogs, and materials while significantly extending your reach to more people who influence purchasing decisions.
